Last updated: June 9, 2026

CheapWindowsVPS ("CheapWindowsVPS", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you when you use our website and hosting services (the "Services").

We collect and use personal information only to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy and other compatible purposes, unless we obtain your consent or are required or permitted by law. We collect information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with your knowledge or consent.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & contact details — name, email address, phone number, company and billing address you provide when you register or order.
  • Billing & payment information — processed by our payment providers. To comply with merchant and fraud-prevention requirements, we may request copies of identifying documents to verify a payment; these are transmitted over encrypted channels and handled per industry compliance standards.
  • Service data — the IP addresses, server configuration and usage/technical logs needed to provision, secure and support your VPS.
  • Support communications — the contents of tickets, emails and chats you send us.
  • Website & cookies — basic analytics and cookie data about how you use our website.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • provision, operate, maintain and secure your Services;
  • process payments, prevent fraud and verify identity where required;
  • provide support and respond to your requests;
  • send service, billing and account notices, and (where permitted) relevant updates;
  • detect, investigate and prevent abuse or violations of our Terms of Service; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

3. Keeping information accurate

We keep personal information relevant to the purposes for which it is used and, to the extent necessary, accurate, complete and up to date. You can update your account details at any time in the client area.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the business (such as payment processors and infrastructure providers), under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
  • Legal and safety recipients, where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, customers or the security of our network.

5. Cookies & analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and to understand and improve how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for the period required to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Server data and backups remaining after account cancellation are deleted in accordance with our Terms of Service.

7. Security

We protect personal information with reasonable security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for safeguarding your own account credentials and the data on your server.

8. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law (including Canada's PIPEDA), you may request to access, correct, update or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. International transfers

We operate datacenters and use service providers in multiple countries. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
