However, no new features or design changes can be made to the server version, leading Microsoft to recommend upgrading to Windows Server 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline also affects the Home and Pro editions of Windows 11 24H2, as well as devices running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016, which will stop receiving updates after that date. This leaves these systems vulnerable to security threats from that point forward.<\/p>\n<h3>Suggested Upgrade Paths<\/h3>\n<p>For users still on Windows 11 24H2 Home or Pro, Microsoft advises upgrading to Windows 11 25H2 to continue receiving necessary updates. Meanwhile, Enterprise and Education versions benefit from an additional year of support, which ends on October 12, 2027.
